This subcommittee is responsible for providing public education, information, and preparedness programs; recruiting new membership for the LEPC; and working with the Treasurer on all fundraising activities.
EXERCISE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
This subcommittee shall work to exercise the All Hazard Emergency Operations Plan (AHEOP) in accordance with Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Program (HSEEP) requirements. This subcommittee may assistother agencies with the development, implementation, and facilitation of exercises as requested, in order to assist these agencies with their emergency planning needs. This subcommittee is also responsible for making recommendations for needed exercises to the Executive Board.
This subcommittee shall be responsible for identifying hazardous materials threats to the community, identifying training opportunities, and addressing facility emergency operations plans, hazardous cargo routes, and the New Mexico Hazardous Materials Emergency Response (HMER) Plan. This subcommittee serves as a venue for local responders to interact with local private entities that deal with hazardous materials, such as fixed facilities and shipping companies.
This subcommittee shall be responsible for compiling data and information regarding naturally occurring hazardous conditions common to this area. This subcommittee shall function as a research-gathering group in support of emergency planning and public awareness.
